Stephanie Bogue Kerr
Social Worker
Moments of transition bring uncertainty. They can be destabilizing, but they can also be times of movement and growth.
I work primarily with individuals facing the uncertainties of life transitions and of illness (acute and chronic), as well as with those living with anxiety and depression.
As a therapist and as a researcher, I am interested in how we experience and relate to our bodies. This has meant:
Working with individuals, couples and families facing life threatening illness.
Attending to how the body feels during emotional and stressful times.
Applying movement-based drama therapy methods with children and adolescents living with anxiety, selective mutism and oppositional defiant disorders.
Applying movement and play-based therapy methods in family therapy.
Integrating exercise into my psychotherapy practice and my research on mental health.
